An open source project to gather and geo-code information about speed limit signs - ostensibly "to regulate or warn of excessive speed". I can't see how this helps, though there is an interesting business model -- "Known contributors are shareholders and should expect to get paid."

It's supposed to be global, though I couldn't see any speed signs outside the US. Not sure what I would do if I could anyway; perhaps the snail logo is a sign that they are on the side of the good guys.

    When you get some time, perhaps review our cruise control Android app called SPEEDERASER. It perhaps answers your questions as to "what to do with speed limit info"...
