Satnav vendor Garmin has upgraded its software to inclue ecoRoute, a 'least fuel' option, to the choice of routes it offers to users. It's only available in the newest devices. Not going to save the planet, but it might help some car users to produce less CO2 per journey. Or to put it another way, it might help some car users to produce less CO2 per journey, but it's not going to save the planet.
