Ikea already supports car sharing in the UK, via Liftshare. In France it ran a teaser campaign, implying that it would soon be introducing some sort of flat-packed car to its product line - then revealed that it was actually a car-sharing scheme, a with local provider. It was cute and clever. It seems to have provoked a powerful reaction among American Clarksonists though (wonder what the correct name for them is?), for whom the concurrence of Swedish (socialists), car-sharing (Communism) and French (arab-loving surrender monkeys) proved too much of a provocation.
