Of course, as the writer points out, without any connectivity on the tube this is only slightly more useful than a chocolate teapot - you could use it to check service delays or whatever before you went into a station. If you were at home/work or anywhere else with a PC you could just check the TFL site. Oh, it only costs £0.59 - even if it's only useful once I suppose that's worthwhile.
