www.keepmoving.co.uk ...lets you see CCTV cameras from a PC (though sadly every camera I tried this morning was "unavailable"). The cameras seem to be the ones belonging to the Highways Agency, which raises some interesting questions about the business model and the availability of the public data - does keepmoving.co.uk have any kind of exclusivity? If they are reading this, I'd like to know.
Of course traffic congestion is bad for carbon emissions; but I can't help wondering how many people are kept off the roads by the expectation of congestion. Anyone got any ideas about how to model that?
